Kiwifruit & Banana Smoothie Bowl

I’m a born and raised kiwi, so I naturally had to create a smoothie with this wonderful fruit. However, asides from its heritage, this fruit is also packed full of Vitamin C – an essential aid for iron absorption whilst invigorating the senses.

Kiwifruit is truly talented, as it features nutrients that play a role in collagen formation, free radical defence, wrinkle prevention and skin rejuvenation. If any fruit were the elixir of youth, it would be the kiwi. What’s more it’s also full of an anti- inflammatory enzyme compound that helps to reduce belly fat, while delivering essential fatty acids in its seeds.

To get the most from the Kiwifruit, eat when fully ripe when antioxidants are at their highest.

Method

Blend all ingredients until smooth and top with your favourite toppings

1 Frozen Banana

3 Kiwifruit

1 Cup Baby Spinach

2 Tbsp. Chia Seeds

1 Medijool Date

1/2 Cup Coconut Water
